About us

How did the idea of creating the ‘Open Culture’ Foundation come about?

From a young age the vast world of art opened for me, it evoked in me an increasing interest as the study of art history.

I really liked the direct interaction with art, and not in the form of visiting exhibitions on the weekends. Constantly and purposefully at the end of the working day, I chose the place of interest to me, I went there alone to talk face to face with the phenomenal artists, I could watch them for hours and notice more and more detail, getting a deeper understanding into the mindset of the authors.

Throughout my life I met interesting people from the world of art, learned the most interesting facts and details about this environment and its heritage. Also, I was fortunate enough to take part in art restoration programs, which further linked me to this area.

Once I was invited to participate in a large international cultural and art project with a big budget, in which it was simply impossible to speak from only myself, as it was about working in a team. So in 2014, the ‘Open Culture’ Foundation was founded.

It was a year of excange of the cultural experience of Russia and Great Britain, we were fortunate enough to be engaged in planning and developing interesting exchange programs, thanks to them many students were given the opportunity of free education.I may write a whole book with details about how we worked on this project.

As the founder of the ‘Open Culture’ Foundation, I am grateful to everyone who reads these lines for their interest in the activities of our charitable organization.

We believe that together we are able to make our world a little better and more sincere, more beautiful and more interesting. And thanks to people who are not indifferent to the art, supporting the fund's activities not only financially, but also with their skills and information.

Your help is an invaluable contribution to the development of charity and, undoubtedly, tangible support. After all, in this world, the kindness and generosity shown return to each hundredfold. I wish you all the best, health, prosperity and kindness throughout your life's journey

Our slogan is "Art has no boundaries"

The ‘Open Culture’ Foundation was established in 2014 to support and popularize projects in the field of culture and art. One of the priorities of the Foundation is to assist in the organization of exhibition and educational activities.

Also, the fund carries out wide consulting and information activities - from legal and audit consultations to assisting in the financing and organization of working groups of the most striking and interesting projects in the field of fine arts and philanthropy.

We support various cultural initiatives: exhibitions, educational and publishing programs. One of the most important areas is the support of regional programs and the establishment of strong communication bridges, both within Russia and beyond. To do this, we organize an innovative field for cultural dialogue.

Art is something that unites people of different cultures and ideologies in different parts of the world. We try to do our best to provide informational support for cultural projects, as well as to support educational and other projects in every possible way. We strive to achieve our goals through close interaction with the media, publishing materials, conducting lectures and other cultural events.

All the funds raised by us are used to implement this goals.

But perhaps the most important part of the Foundation’s main program is establishing of reliable communication channels between the Russian regions and the foreign audience with a view to explore art and culture of this country.
